Past Being Cold

Deep in January now, I try to remember childhood winters.  Growing up in Texas there wasn’t much snow at all, but it was cold.  I have few memories of what I actually did, other than stay inside and read.

I never even threw snowballs or made a snowman until I moved north when I was an adult. I hope someday I get to make at least one more snowman, before the snow will only be a distant memory, or only on a far-off mountain.

What will the kids of today remember of their winters here?  The winters without snow - outdoor activity will be the same year round I guess, biking, basketball, maybe swimming. If it isn’t too hot of course.

It seems animals and nature adapt by necessity.   But many people adapt according to their greed.  Somehow I don’t think that is how God intended it.  After all, he gave humans the distinguished task of being stewards of this earth.

Who knows, but more importantly, who cares?  We all have to adjust one way or another.  You know exactly what I mean.   Theresa M                                       https://climate.nasa.gov/
